A Muslim knows what is good for his daughter. Or his sister. Or else a woman in his family. And if they do not do what he believes to be good, thanks to Islam, his honor besmirched.

"If a Turkish girl speaks with a boy is her brother forced to do something about it, otherwise his friends ask him if he had no sense of honor."
In the civilization of this concept of honor is not understandable. Honor has to do with how to behave themselves, not with what someone else does. Honourableness, for example, to respect the freedom of others, to prevent oppression, and to protect the lives of their neighbors.
dishonorable, however, is the paternalism, the denial of self-determination, murder, and especially the honor killing.
honor, for the purposes of the above brother, his sister limits - this honor is quite simply dishonest .
