Truth is what Islam says. Not, find out what the reason and intellect.
if reason says that all people are equal, and the Koran says that Muslims should stay away from the the other and not take for friends, then the Koran, not reason.
Truth is what Islam says. Not, find out what the reason and intellect. Because the guideline for the world is not independent, rational and open-ended thinking, but the conformity with the ideology. Does Islam, and all have to adhere to it.
If the ideology-book says that the earth is an ostrich egg, a slice or cube it, then intelligence and reason are not entitled to come to a different result.
intellect and reason rather have the task to confirm that Islam is above reason. And because Islam says that Islam is the only right thing and everyone else have the subordinate is not the reason, which insists on equality, reciprocity and equal footing, but Islam and its order. For Muslims, like all the others.
Now, and in all future time. Otherwise yes would be the reason for Islam, and that is not allowed.

The Use of Reason
The Islamic tradition is rich in its explorations of the nature of human intelligence and its relation to God's Nature and His Will , not including questions of what is self-evident and what is. However, the dichotomy between "reason" on one hand and "faith" on the other does not exist in precisely the same form in Islamic thought. Rather, Muslims have come to terms with the power and limits of human intelligence in their own way, acknowledging a hierarchy of knowledge of which reason is a crucial part. There are two extremes which the Islamic intellectual tradition has generally managed to avoid: one is to make the analytical mind the ultimate arbiter of truth, and the other is to deny the power of human understanding to address ultimate questions. More importantly, in their most mature and mainstream forms the intellectual explorations of Muslims through the ages have maintained a consonance between the truths of the Quranic revelation and the demands of human intelligence, without sacrificing one for the other. God says, We shall show them Our signs in the horizons and in themselves until it is clear to them that it is the truth. Reason itself is one among the many signs within us, invites us to contemplate Which God, and to contemplate with, as a way of knowing the truth.
In Christianity, however, is that faith can not contradict reason, because reason is from God. This is short, clear and reasonable.
